Members of the Coordinating Council of the NGO "New Ukrainian Wave" - the founder of the "New Wave" school in Brooklyn, together with the School Council, headed by Anna Shpuk, and the school administration, have done a lot of work on preparing for the new academic year and organizing the educational process.

The staff of the Ukrainian Studies School "New Wave" currently employs 35 qualified teachers and assistants. Many of them have recently arrived in America. Therefore, before the start of the school year, a number of seminar classes were held, and an exchange of experience was held between teachers who have been teaching children in the diaspora for many years and young teachers who brought interesting innovative approaches to teaching from Ukraine.

The school team previously included Dr. Larisa Zanyk, who was the deputy director for seven years, Olga Obertos, who taught students music and singing for six years, Lidia Kondratyuk, a primary school teacher who returned to her native Zaporizhzhia in 2018. A little later, Ulyana Zavaliy and Lesya Kysylyuk, Tetyana Mkhitariani joined us as educators in Svitlychka. Ulyana Zavaliy now heads the school in Bambrook, and Lesya Kysylyuk also works at this school. And of those beginners, Iryna Kolomiyets, Svitlana Dubnytska, Halyna Skarzhynska, Iryna Mytsak, Zoryana Matiychyk, Olga Hrynyk, who is now the school’s deputy director for curriculum. And Lesya Zlupko is the deputy director for organizational issues.
