Under this name, on December 16, in the assembly hall of the American daily school IS 228 David A. Boody, a colorful celebration was held, prepared by students and teachers of the Ukrainian Studies School “Nova Khvylka”.

The Christmas program was opened with a welcoming speech by the school principal, Myroslava Rozdolska. She invited Bishop Pavlo Khomnytsky, Bishop of Stamford, to bless the program.

Among the guests who came to the school holiday, open to the community, were and addressed the audience Mr. D'Angelo, Principal David A. Boody School; Mr. Jumaane Williams, New York City Public Advocate; Assemblyman William Colton, Executive Director of the Ukrainian National Federal Credit Union; and Ms. Natalia Paschachynska, who brought a check for $1,000 as a gift for the school.

Among the guests-spectators were also Yuriy Bayurak, who heads the Development Department at UNF Credit Union, Yulia Rassumet, Marketing Manager of the “Mist” company, TV journalist Iryna Solomko, and a film crew from the “Voice of America” studio.

The energetic theatrical celebration, which featured the Holy Supper, the Nativity Scene, Melanka, and many carols sung by both children and adults, put everyone in a good Christmas mood.
