The Ukrainian Festival was held for the third time in Brooklyn, in the Brighton neighborhood.
The feeling of unity with the Motherland during this difficult time in our history was present in every moment of this festive day, starting with the hymn "God is Great and One", which was performed by wounded soldier Yuriy Ivaskevych accompanied by the Cultural Landing of the military - professional musicians - our guests, who opened the program of the day.

On June 1, our festival "Angels Hold the Sky" was held, organized by the NGO "New Ukrainian Wave" and the Ukrainian Studies School "New Wave" founded by our organization. A traditional cultural event at the end of the school year is a joyful event. However, when a war for survival has been going on on our Ukrainian land for the third year, it is also painful. We cannot forget for a moment that at the moment when we are singing and dancing on stage in New York, the enemy is bombing Kharkiv. Therefore, a big thank you to everyone who understood the goal of the festival and joined in with their work, donations, and their performance in the concert program, without demanding high fees, so that all the funds from the net income, which is $14,000, can be sent to the needs of our defenders. We thank our guests for supporting our efforts – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Ms. Iryna Borovets, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Ambassador Serhiy Kyslytsia, First Secretary of the Mission of Ukraine to the UN Mr. Yaroslav Sochka and American politicians Assemblyman Wiiliam Kolton, current and former New York City deputies. We thank our sponsors Samopomich Credit Union and Ukrainian National Federal Credit Union. We thank everyone who came, supported, bought and contributed. Together we are a community of Ukrainians and an integral part of the Ukrainian Nation. Glory to Ukraine!
