On Sunday, June 7, the three-day World Ukrainian Summit in Bern (Switzerland) ended, which proved that Ukraine has a powerful force - the global Ukrainian community, united by the Ukrainian World Congress in over 50 countries around the world for assistance, support, and bringing victory closer at this crucial time for our Motherland.

Over 350 representatives of public organizations, educational and cultural centers took part in an intensive program of plenary sessions. Participants shared experiences and discussed strategies for joint actions to increase financial assistance to Ukraine, strengthen international support at all levels, counter Russian propaganda, expand the network of Ukrainian schools, and preserve national identity.

The speeches of the Ukrainian military during the plenary session "World Ukrainianism for the Victory of Ukraine" were especially moving. Lieutenant Yulia Paevska (Taira), Colonel Ivan Kovalchuk, Sergeant, Commander of Air Reconnaissance Oleksandr Koba, and Commander of the Combined Air Reconnaissance Group Vyacheslav Balbek shared their thoughts and experiences. The screening of a film about the latest developments and inventions that are created thanks to charitable donations and help save the lives of our defenders and bring victory closer also made a great impression.

In today's conditions, when millions of Ukrainians are scattered all over the world, and their number is almost equal to the number of citizens currently living in Ukraine, it is extremely important to preserve our national identity. Schools of Ukrainian studies play an invaluable role in this. This is the topic of my presentation at the plenary session "The Power of Ukrainian Identity: Strengthening Through Education, History, and Culture."

Informal meetings were also interesting and useful, during which we exchanged experience and made contacts to establish cooperation in various fields of activity. We were glad to participate in this powerful forum as representatives of the "New Wave", as well as to present Ukrainian schooling and report on the activities of the School Council in America.
