On January 15, the Ukrainian Studies School Nativity Scene, along with People's Artist of Ukraine Ostap Stakhiv, performed a carol at the Mission Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on O Street in Brooklyn. This time, they sang carols not only for the parishioners, but also for the wounded soldiers who came to the United States for rehabilitation. It is for prostheses for these brave defenders of Ukraine that the high school students are raising funds with their carol this Christmas season.

In Staten Island, NY, Roman Los, 22, who worked in a kindergarten before the war, is currently undergoing rehabilitation. When the war began, he enlisted in the anti-terrorist unit from the first days, and then fought in the Azov battalion. Sergeant Viktor Kobets, 25, who took part in the liberation of Zmiiniy Island, where he planted our Ukrainian flag; Mykola Zarytsky, 29, originally from Sumy, was wounded liberating Kherson. A video of him being one of the first to enter the suburbs has gained hundreds of thousands of views on the Telegram channel; Senior Seaman Maksym Kryvonos, a marine, 28, who was also wounded during the liberation of Kherson.
